WASTEWATER CONSTRUCTION DIVISION

This Division is responsible for the inspection of all sewer construction contracts issued by the Board of Public Works. This includes the four treatment plants: Hyperion Sewage Treatment Plant, Donald C. Tillman Water Reclamation Plant, Los Angeles-Glendale Water Reclamation Plant and the Terminal Island Treatment Plant. Other work in the Division includes inspecting the construction of collection system sewers from 8 inches to 11 foot diameter as well as wastewater pumping plants. The Division consists of four Districts:

District W1

Ted Galsim, - Principal Construction Inspector

District W-1 is responsible for all sewer contracts in the Valley in an area generally North of Mulholland Dr. Two water treatment plants, Los Angeles-Glendale and Donald C. Tillman are in this district.

District W2

Gary Bigelow - Principal Construction Inspector

District W-2 is responsible for all sewer and treatment plant contracts in an area generally south of Imperial Hwy and the San Diego Fwy. Two treatment plants, Hyperion and Terminal Island are in this district.

District W3

George Stofila - Principal Construction Inspector

District W-3 is responsible for all sewer contracts in an area generally bounded by the Hollywood fwy to the North, Western Ave to the west and the San Diego Fwy to the south. This District inspects the Emergency Sewer Repair Program.

District W4

Emmanuel Achonu - Principal Construction Inspector

District W-4 is responsible for all sewer contracts in an area generally bounded by Mulholland Dr. to the North, Western Ave to the east and Imperial Hwy/ San Diego fwy to the south. This District inspects the Accelerated Sewer Repair Program- ASRP.
